Dana James is a painter currently working in Bushwick, Brooklyn and is a New York City native from Tribeca. She graduated with a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in 2008 and has since then exhibited extensively both in and out of New York. Her work can be found in numerous private and public collections. Her paintings inhabit multiple mediums and textures unified by the process of pouring. Transient between abstraction and representation, her subjects touch on cathartic bodies of water, Americana and abandonment, and the metaphysical.
